Some First Insights from the Aeryn Brand

Performance and Simplicity Combined

After extensive development and testing, the Aeryn P1 Parawing delivers reliable upwind performance, comparable to traditional inflatable wings. This capability allows riders to comfortably handle varying conditions and potentially use smaller wing sizes without sacrificing overall performance.

The P1 offers solid low-end power and a wide wind window, making it well-suited for enjoyable downwind rides and responsive control during various maneuvers.

Insights from the Design Team

The P1 Parawing’s development was led by designer Michel Dekker, who focused on creating a balanced wing that blends power with ease of handling. Dekker explains, “With the P1, we aimed for a practical combination of strong upwind and downwind performance, manageable lift during maneuvers, and an intuitive depower range for comfortable riding.”

Nicolas Caillou, the lead tester, highlights the practical strengths of the P1: “The P1 provides consistent upwind capabilities, good low-end power, and reliable control, offering riders confidence in a variety of conditions.”

Easy Setup, Practical Packing

Designed for convenience, the P1 Parawing eliminates the setup complexities often associated with inflatable wings. Lightweight and easy to handle, it launches quickly, allowing riders to maximize their time on the water. After a session, it packs away efficiently, simplifying gear management.
