JP-Australia’s new 2025 Freestyle Boards

JP-Australia has introduced its latest range of Freestyle windsurfing boards for 2025, developed in collaboration with world champion Yentel Caers. The new models focus on reducing weight while maintaining durability and performance, aiming to meet the demands of modern freestyle windsurfing.

What’s New in the 2025 JP Freestyle Boards?

JP-Australia’s freestyle boards have been refined for improved responsiveness in rotations, spins, and pops. While maintaining early planing and speed characteristics, the latest models introduce S-TEC construction, a technology designed to reduce weight without compromising stiffness or durability.

Key Features and Construction

  • S-TEC Technology: The boards are 300-400 grams lighter than previous models, achieved through several structural improvements:
    • No paint – Eliminates unnecessary weight.
    • Targeted anti-slip application – Grip applied only where needed.
    • Reduced UV-paint – Lightweight without compromising longevity.
    • Thinner pads – Less EVA and glue for better comfort and efficiency.
    • Refined lamination process – Optimized fiber arrangement for strength and minimal weight.
  • Performance-Oriented Design:
    • Optimized tail shape for explosive pop and quick rotations.
    • Flat V bottom shape for better power transfer and control at speed.
    • Balanced weight distribution for smoother landings and precise maneuvering.
    • Comes with competition-ready freestyle fins for out-of-the-box performance.

Developed with Pro Riders

Yentel Caers, who played a key role in testing and refining the new boards, highlights the improvements:

“Our goal was to make the boards lighter while keeping the stiffness and durability of the previous Innegra models. Typically, weight reduction comes at the cost of strength, but the new construction proves otherwise. The result is a board that feels light underfoot but remains solid and reliable in high-impact freestyle moves.”
