Maciek Rutkowski joins the JP-Australia international team!

We’re kicking off the 2025 season with exciting news: Maciek Rutkowski – one of the world’s top windsurfers – is officially joining the international JP-Australia team!

After a successful 2024 season, in which Maciek claimed 3rd place in the Slalom X discipline, it was time for the next step. This year, he’ll be competing on JP boards in both Slalom X and Foil Slalom – two equally important disciplines in this year’s PWA World Tour Windsurfing.

“I’m super happy to finally share this! My very first board was the JP Freestyle Wave 78, and I’ve always felt that one day the circle would close. It took over 20 years, but here we are! Last season I raced on JP in Slalom X and instantly felt a huge sense of comfort and confidence. Now, with the new S-Tech construction, I’m even more motivated to chase the world title. I also hope to get involved in R&D, so I’m incredibly excited about what’s ahead!” – says Maciek.

JP-Australia is equally thrilled to welcome Maciek on board – a decision that’s been in the making for a while. Although the official collaboration begins now, JP has been closely following his performance.
In 2024, without a board sponsor, Maciek independently chose JP for his Slalom X races – a personal decision driven by trust in the board’s design and performance.

Combined with his excellent collaboration with NeilPryde, which supported him throughout the entire season, it was only natural to take the next step and welcome him fully into the JP/NeilPryde family.

“We’ve known Maciek since last season when he raced on NeilPryde sails – his commitment, professionalism, and energy made a huge impression. We knew we wanted him on the JP team as well. He’s not only a serious contender for the PWA podium, but also brings immense value beyond racing. With the PWA season opener in Guadeloupe around the corner, we can’t wait to see him in action on our boards,” – comments the JP team.

What does this mean for EASY-surfshop?

As the official partner of JP-Australia and NeilPryde in Poland, we’re proud to see our collaboration with Maciek growing even stronger. His move to the JP international team marks an important moment and a natural next step in our relationship. We’re excited to see our partnership evolve – built from the beginning on a shared vision of growing the sport and educating the next generation of riders.

And it’s that shared vision that makes our cooperation with Maciek go far beyond competition. He represents everything we believe in: consistency, authenticity, and a constant drive for improvement. Together, we’re planning video tutorials, gear guides, and clinics and test sessions for Polish riders – always focused on quality, practical knowledge, and accessibility for everyone.

The 2025 season has already begun!

Maciek is currently in Guadeloupe, where the first PWA World Tour stop in the Foil Slalom discipline kicked off on Tuesday. Conditions have yet to allow for racing – but anticipation is building, and we’re excited to see him hit the water! You can follow the competition and cheer for Maciek by watching the livestream on the PWA World Tour website.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed and backing Maciek all the way – with new gear, a new team, and the same unwavering passion as always.
